Gail is an experienced speaker, and a patient, yet motivating teacher. She has taught quilting for many years, from beginner to advanced skills, from community schools to state guilds, to the prestigious Houston International Quilt Festival. Lectures are approximately one hour, and are combination slide and trunk shows. Some workshops are half day, others are full day. Special multi-day, in-depth workshops can also be arranged. Examples of workshop projects are shown, but each student's quilt will be unique, depending on the print chosen, the size and number of blocks selected, and other design choices.

MIRROR POSSIBILITIES

A look at the crazy life of an uprooted quilter. Includes a slide and trunk show of quilts made or collected over the years and around the country, including several mirrored-design quilts, accompanied by a variety of humorous stories.

MIRROR MANIPULATIONS
Learn how to use mirrors on unusual large-scale prints to create unique
and intriguing designs. Projects are based on traditional star or kite blocks, but result in truly one-of-a-kind quilts. Instruction includes simple drafting, template-making and accurate machine piecing tips.

Need a special quilting design to personalize and add a crowning touch to that special quilt? Can't find the right size or shape? Learn how to adapt a wide variety of printed designs, even printed fabric motifs, to unique hand quilting designs, using mirrors.
PERFECT BINDING
Add a professional finish to your quilt with a perfectly-made binding. Various edge treatments will be discussed, with hands-on practice at making a French double-fold binding with easy mitered corners and virtually invisible start and stop.
